– What is the release schedule for Story Kings?
Story Kings is released by issue. There is no set release schedule, so please join our mailing list to find out when new issues are released! The first issue is currently in the final stages of development and planned for release before the end of 2025. Stay tuned!

– What are Story King’s greatest influences?
Lito is influenced by a wide array of media, many he’s proud of and many he’s not. Among his most important sources of inspiration, however, are Samurai Jack, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, the work of Emma Rios,  Revolutionary Girl Utena, Claymore, Star Trek, and Lord of the Rings.

– How is Story Kings made?
Story Kings is drawn almost exclusively in Procreate. Toby (Lito’s Wife and Editor) transcribes while Lito describes the story. Once the script is finished, Lito plans out the panels and sketches each page before passing the spread to Toby, who cleans up the lineart and adds lettering. Finally, Lito colors the art and adds finishing touches. A solid-colored version of the Magic Pencil by Cryptozoology is the brush of choice for both artists and is used from sketch right through to final lineart. For painting, Lito primarily uses Procreate’s default Flat Brush.
